How To Find Your Serial Number

RSA Archer

Version 5.x
1. Access the web server where Archer is installed
2. Open the Archer Control Panel
3. In the left pane, click the instance name.
4. You will see the Serial Number (aka Archer License Key) at the top of the middle pane.


Version 4.x
1. Access the web server where Archer is installed
2. Open the Archer Control Panel
3. In the left pane, click the instance name.
4. In the right pane, double click Licensing.
5. You will see the Serial Number (aka Archer License Key) and Instance information on this screen.

 

RSA SecurID Appliance

Version 3.0
1. Access the Security Console (https://<fully-qualified computer name>:7004/console-ims)
2. Go to Setup > Licenses > Status
3. Click the "View Installed Licenses" button.




4. Click the small drop-down box arrow next to the License ID number. Click on "View".



5. The Account ID is your serial number. It should be an 8-digit number beginning with 44 (example: 44xxxxxx). Please note that this is the serial number for your software license. The serial number for your Appliance hardware unit is physically printed on the back of the machine.



Version 2.0 or lower
1. Connect to the Appliance.
2. Go to the System tab.
3. If you are connecting via the web interface, click View License Information. If you are connecting via another method (console, remote desktop, or database administration remote mode), click Check License Compliance.
4. The license number will be displayed as the License ID.

RSA Authentication Manager

Version 7.1:
1. Access the Security Console (https://<fully-qualified computer name>:7004/console-ims)
2. Go to Setup > Licenses > Status
3. Click the "View Installed Licenses" button.


4. Click the small drop-down box arrow next to the License ID number. Click on "View".



5. The Account ID is your serial number. It should be an 8- or 9-digit number beginning with 9 (example: 9xxxxxxx).




Versions 6.1 or lower, on Microsoft Windows:

- From Remote Administration:

1. Launch RSA Authentication Manager Database Administration (Host or Remote mode)
2. Click Help > About Database Administration
3. Click License Info - the license serial number appears in the Other License Information section

- From the RSA Authentication Manager server directly:

1. Run the Configuration Manager and select Edit System Parameters - the license serial number appears in the upper left corner


Versions 6.1 or lower, on UNIX:

1. Locate the ACE/PROG directory
2. Run SDINFO |more to display license serial number


RSA Keon or RSA ClearTrust

If you have RSA Keon or RSA ClearTrust products, the license serial number is located on a paper license shipped with the product. Contact your System Administrator to get this information.

RSA enVision

NOTE: In addition to the software methods below, the serial number can also be found on a printed label, located on the back of the appliance unit.

For 50-Series:
1. Access your enVision appliance.
2. Locate the c:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\nie-oe.dat file.
3. The serial number will be shown in the S/N= field. The number will start with NNG. (Example: NNG00011111111)

For 60-Series:
1. Access your enVision appliance via the DRAC.
2. Go to Start->All Programs->Dell OpenManage Applications->Server Administrator->Server Administrator.
3. Select System on the left panel.
4. Select the Summary link at the top of the page.
5. The Chassis Server Tag is the serial number.

HOST ID
1. Log in through the GUI
2.Go to overview, system configuration,users, display licnese information. On top it will display Host ID.
or
1. Login to envision through remote desktop
2. Open command prompt, and type: ipconfig/all
3. Note the TCP/IP settings for the ethernet card "Ethernet adapter LAN"
Take note of the mac/physical address without the "-"

RSA NetWitness

For Decoder, Concentrator or Broker:

Method 1 - Decal:
There is a serial number decal on your appliance, usually affixed to the top of the appliance that looks similar to this:

Method 2 - Via NetWitness Administrator:
Connect to the Appliance Service (port 50006) of your NetWitness Appliance.  On the dashboard, make sure you are on the stats tab and click the "Appliance Tasks" button in the upper left.  In the "Appliance Tasks" window.  At the "Task" drop down select "Show Serial Number" and click "Run".  You will see the serial number in the "Output" section of the window.

Method 3 - Via the Linux Shell
Connect to the appliance using an ssh session and log in.  At the command prompt enter: dmidecode -s system-serial-number

login as: root
root@nwappliance's password:
Last login: Wed Feb 23 16:03:19 2011 from analyst-workstation
[root@nwappliance ~]# dmidecode -s system-serial-number                           
2908-106509
[root@nwappliance ~]#

For Informer:

In the event that you need the serial # from an Informer appliance and don't have physical access to it, use the following method to retrieve.

From a command prompt run the following:

C:\wmic csproduct get vendor,name,identifyingnumber

That should produce output similar to below.  The serial # is listed under identifying number.
